Silas withheld the urge to snicker slightly at his own question being turned back towards him instead. "Not yet, but give it some time, you may suddenly become unbearably annoying and disturb me that way," he remarked, once again, not cruelly. He wasn't particularly mean, just honest...most of the time at least. It couldn't deny he was taunting the other male slightly, but not out of ill-intent, mostly out of boredom.

"Are you traveling with someone?" He questioned, his paws already itching to move. He wanted to explore the territory and then get back home, to the north, where his den was likely being inhabited by moochers already. They saw his den, all nicely made, and couldn't resist moving in while he was away. Like he wouldn't smell them when he came back. A faint frown worked across his face at the thought.

Spectrum was surprised at the concern the other Helix showed and his ears dropped a little in embarrassment. He must look like such a fool, he thought, sprawled out in the bamboo. Which was now poking him uncomfortably. He scrambled to his feet, narrowly stopping himself from tumbling straight back down after tripping over some of the bamboo.

"I'm alive,"
he announced brightly, giving a sheepish look to the other male who didn't really seem like he was that threatening. Good. Spectrum was rotten at fighting. "This was nothing," he tried to bluff, it had hurt like heck actually but he didn't want the other male to know. His posture was submissive though, tail down and ears slightly drooped. "You should try jumping off a waterfall and then realising the water at the bottom is alittle deep. My paw hurt for months after that." Aliana had not been amused by his stupidity, but she had helped him nurse the paw better, after beating him up for being so dumb.

Jaden's attention, although still preoccupied with the unsettling sound of the bamboo (thankfully, there didn't seem to be anymore snaps, but still. He wondered what had happened, and hoped nothing dangerous was close by. Although his pups had grown large enough to fend for themselves and live on their own, a few had stayed with him and his mate, their mother, and he was still protective of them), returned to the male when he heard the words.

At first, he could only stare, shocked. When he had gained his senses, his first urge was to chase down the male and correct, making sure he understood very clearly that he already had a mate whom he would never betray. But that would be silly. The black and red male had already gone, and the effort wasn't worth it. What were the chances of him seeing the helix again?

"Well..." he said, clearing his throat nervously, trying to ease the sudden discomfort he was sure they both felt. "That was awkward."

Shadow pressed his ears forward warningly. Being over-protective of his mate ever since the "incident" had made him slow to realize others could be anything but aggressive towards him. Once he realized the male held no ill intentions, he snorted and looked around, trying to pass off his previous mistake as that of a watchful and alert helix.

"No," he replied, glad for a change of topic. "I'm not travelling, just... looking around." He frowned himself, although for different reasons. His thoughts had returned to Nani, and although he still loved her more than anything else, her betrayal, no matter how unintentional, was still a livid wound to him.

"Whew, that's good," Jamie replied, just as brightly. His tail started wagging with relief, and he sat down, eyeing the other curiously.

He had never been too good with body language. He was just happy being... well, happy, and his older brother always helped him if there was trouble. He had grown to be an optimistic, sheltered helix because of his brother's protective nature.

"Did you really jump off a waterfall?" he asked, awed by the fact that the male had not only jumped off of one but had survived, too. His view on them, after all, was pretty limited. "How did you dodge the rocks on the bottom?"

After another angry kick, Howlite was on the move again, his nose to the ground, his ears raised, and his eyes searching, always searching, for the one who had ruined him. Revenge was all he lived for these days.

Suddenly he raised his head, his eyes wide with surprise. A familiar scent reached him: the scent of his adopted father.

He stepped back, looking around. He didn't realize he had gone so close to his birth-pack. And the last thing he wanted was helixes he knew to look at him now and see what had happened to him. And so, without another word, he turned and left the area.
