"She doesnae want t' be bothered. We're here wi' our children an' we'd rather not hae them subject t' a bunch o' strangers," Faolan said, shifting his weight in a way that he could bodily fling them across the store if need be. "Leave me wife alone."

"We just want her autograaaaaaaph!" The fangirls wailed nearly as one, while Ellandra continued to try and slip away, with wide, frightened eyes.

The fangirls pouted, but could tell that the redhaired man in front of them meant business. One exceptionally bold one scowled and scribbled something on a piece of paper and handed it to Faolan. "Take this then, and give it to Ms. Vandenmar for us!"
Ellandra ducked behind a bookshelf and hid, staring at the scary sight that was fans after her.

The fangirls trickled out of the store rather reluctantly, ad as they left Ellandra peeked back out of hiding. "Is it safe yet?"

"Looks it," Faolan said, walking to her. He gave her a soft smile, leaning down to hug her and his children. "They wanted me t' give you this." He held out the small note.

Ellandra blinked as she unfolded the note, then wadded it up and handed it to Faolan. "Burn that, please," she said, her voice completely even. "Now let's go get something to eat, then head to a baby store - oh, goodness, um, I think we should make a stop for a diaper change first. . ."
Bel wriggled and squirmed in her pouch, her little face squinching up and turning red as she started to wail.

Faolan uncrumpled the note to have a look at what it said.
Sam caught a whiff of his sister and started scrunching his little face up, making noises just on the verge of crying.

Ellandra snatched at the note, but gave up. "Don't read that, Faolan, your eyes will burn out of your head!" She complained, hanging the baby pouch around his neck and lifting Bel out, taking her and the diaper bag off to the bathroom for a change.

Faolan looked at Sam and, for his part, the infant looked up at his dad. "Yeah, I know. You're more silent but deadly on th' stinkiness, ain't you?" He sighed, shoving the note in his pocket absently, and took Sam into the mens' room, happy to have remembered emergency diapers and changing supplies tucked in the baby harness.
