Does anyone have tips on playing and how it can be easier to play???

AIR. Airairair. And guess what? More air! Believe me, it took me forever to grasp the concept that in order to sound nice, thou must put air through thine horn. Breathing exercises before practicing can help. And yes., Practice. Practice, while it doesn't make things perfect necessarily, it does make it better.
Preform and audition as much as you can, and take the judges' critiques to help you grow. And always, always remember: Loud and Proud, Wrong and Strong. =DD

My girlfriend is a French horn player, and she's really good at it, but her only problem is that she doesn't play very loud. Through middle school, I never heard her play very loud (that's the only reason she never got honor bands that you audition for. All the ones they pick you for because of reccomendation, she got every one.) Now that we're in high school, and more people than me have told her to play louder, there's a move where she's right behind me and I'm like "WTF IS THAT?" and it's my pretty little girlfriend. (: She can play really loud now, and it sounds amazing.
