sweatdrop DJ Beat L. You can guess what my logo would involve if the station had its own website.

Arbonite ki_cat Arbonite sweatdrop Only station I get is our local college station, which I get to do techno shows on Monday nights for. Closest thing we have to talk shows is two sports broadcasters and a paranormal late at night on Saturdays. Our student station manager thinks it scares off most of his sane listeners since his show goes on after it. YOU do the techno shows?! Way cool. What type pf techno? I think the funny part about radio show hosts is the one station that plays all the music I just don't like (can tolerate, but don't like) has the bestest hosts ever. They're funny and interesting and etc. But the music... eh. Any type I can find. As can be expected, most of the music is rock and country. The Electronica folder on the station's computer is...maybe 20 songs total? I have to pull from the Dance folder...which is riddled with non-techno remixes meant for dance floors. I've been hitting and missing over the past few weeks with songs. xp It's...fun. sweatdrop I did finally talk over air this Monday though. Been putting off doing that half the semester. redface Do you need more resources? Can you *use* more resources? I can hook you up with, at a minimum, some great DJs from here, and put out my feelers and within hours (maximum couple days) get you untold riches from the techno world. This is more hard house with high BPM, but... http://www.djderkin.com/Really good friend of mine. Manages a club. Good times.

Those all sound amazing.
'Cept maybe hard country.
Wait, Arb, you like the Beatles, or is it ironic because you don't actually play anything like the Beatles? I do not know how these things work. My DJ name is DJ Curly Q but that is for obvious reasons.

@Crono: BeatL, Beat for the the high BPM of the music that I try play and L for the beginning of my last name.
@Shellz: Depends. The Professor in charge of the station says we can't use music we download from the Internet, so it has to be CD's we've bought or one of the CD's the station gets through the mail to play.

I don't think I have anything to contribute. gonk The only dance music I listen to is fairly commercial stuff, and Kav downloads all his music.

I really like all my CDs, though. I think it would be better to mail a gift certificate to a local music mart.
Do you have any retail franchises nearby? I do not know why I'm asking, I do not think I'm going to actually send you anything. o:

About the CDs, it's really unfortunate, simply because the music I'd find for you is all free online. And by free online I mean the site is operated by the DJ who puts up his/her music to download as they're not professional, or have the money to sink into publication.
*sigh* I apologise.
