Does our field of protection cover G-Online, Gaia's sister site?

GCD's exploded again because of it, which is why I know about it. It's supposed to be Gaia's Asian counterpart, complete with semi-matching avatars, similar site setup, and better stuff and (MUCH BETTER) NPCs. Since it is basically Gaia in Asia, should we cover the events there also?

Edit::

pirula
GOnline is legit. They are Gaia's 'sister company' in China. It is a separate company, but Gaia has a deal with them, and things like items, art, features etc. can be shared both ways. GOnline is basically adapting Gaia for the Chinese market, which means they will do some things differently, so its not totally the same site.

We are in regular contact with them, and we will probably re-use some of their ideas, just like how they are using many of the items and basic site features from us. Feel free to suggest examples where Gaia should be more like G-online - building a new Gaia means they can do some stuff better than we have smile

To clarify what exactly G-Online is, in regards to the "sister site" bit.

I do not think that it is a Gaia sister site. Gaia is a worldwide site and thus you can play it from Asia. Which means that someone has decided to copy Gaia in a way and also lives in Asia.

And the answer from what I understand is no.

Pirula, one of the developers, verified that it is, in fact, Gaia's sister site. I'll put the quote in the first post, now that I think about it. G-online is a separate company, but they've struck a deal with Gaia already, which is why their site looks so much like ours.

The deal they that Gaia's made with G-online is that they basically share ideas and such, based on what Pirula said. Gaia is also supposed to be adapting some of the ideas G-online has made, and is going to make. If they adapt parts of our storyline, they might take the Zurg bits with them, which may give us something to do between events here on Gaia. This is basically why I asked now, since they don't have a storyline yet. Not one that I can see, at least. Learn things ahead of time, ya?

As said, I'll put pirula's quote in the first post. Pirula is a developer, and you can search her posts to find the quoted one if needed.

Well, if I could read Chinese characters, I would say yes. But since I can't, I don't know what I would even do to protect them xD
Unless there is someone that knows fluent Chinese here and can translate for everyone.

Well, apparently the moderators, or at least one of them, are trying to make an English translation for their rules and such. They have an English guide to the site, kinda, and an English guide to the rules, sorta.

Well, they tried.

You see there. It is a deal made by the two companies. A sister site is actually two sites opened by the same single company. It is just a separate site that the Ruler of Gaia doesn't approve. Why else is there no ads for them? And if it is just one language that practically isn't learned by everyone in the world, I think, is out of our Jurisdiction.

I would say no. The reason for the international site to be created is because China has very specific laws about what can be put on the internet. Supposedly talking about religion or democracy on G online can get you banned.

Furthermore, I don't think any of our agents are gifted with the ability to read, write, and comprehend Chinese.

It seems with their strict rules there is no need to protect them.Besides, they have Samurai in Black. heart xp

I'm gonna say "no." But what the hell, a chinese Gaia?

I'm gonna have to check this out.

Its the official sister site.

Thats why Lanzer was over in China awhile back, according to one of the devs. Forget who right now.

But essentially.

Anything Gaia Proper has, Chinese Gaia is allowed to use.
Likewise, if Chinease Gaia comes up with a feature. Gaia Proper (With public support) can and will incorporate it.
