Oh yeah, I remember that now... I used to play in a softball league in my town. My dad always wanted me to play soccer, but I was afraid of having a ball come flying at my head. In high school I switched to playing field hockey. That was loads of fun!

Hey, does anybody remember the game you play with a pen knife? What's it called? I can't remember and it's driving me nuts!

Orange Blossom Ooh, that does help! How do you play Castle Tag? I've never heard of that before... Have you seen those wooden jungle gyms they build for kids to play on? Well, any ropes, nets and other climbing devices would be tied around the "castle" in huge knots. All the kids playing would be divided into two teams...the knot makers, and the undoers. If you were on the knot team, you'd tie the ropes up so that the undoers would have a hard time getting up on the gym and untying them. The trick was not getting tagged if you were on the undoers team...if you got hit, you became an enemy agent. If the undoers managed to get all the ropes down, they won. If they didn't, and everyone was a knot maker...well then, that team won. It used to be wicked fun. *laughs* We'd usually have a group of 10 or so kids playing at any one time.

Heh now that you mention it, we also played 4-square and tetherball quite a bit. Nothing unusual though. I guess the castle tag thing worked.
I also played basketball...and was the only girl on an all boy team. All I learned from it is that boys don't like girls who don't play basketball well. Well that, and that my parents were under the mistaken impression I was tall back then. rofl

One thing I did, was playing that I was a soldier, together with some other kids. Y'see, we had a forrest nearby, so it was quite easy to set up a 'battlefield' and a lot of us had toy guns wink
