She smiled warmly and shook her head the smallest bit, "No, no. It is fine." she insisted. "It is a pleasure to meet the both of you- Rosa, Estevan."
"Even on an off day your garden is wonderful." she paused and looked around again, "Do you tend to it yourselves?"
Without waiting for any sort of answer she continued, "Though if you say Estevan becomes shy around pretty mares, should he not be shy all the time around you?"

Rosa giggled. "Yes, I do most the tending and watering around the gardens, it's my love. I do have help once in a while, by friends or others that visit often." gesturing towards Estevan working away. "Thank you! As far as Estevan and I, well we have been friends for well... forever. So... OH!! My goodness, I forgot to water this morning with finding the mess. Excuse me dear."
Rosa trotted off down the garden. Watering was very important for the flowers to look so beautiful, she couldn't forget that.

Estevan chuckled. He was done with the sweet peas. Hopfully they would survive and knowing Rosa like he did, she would tend to them and water them back to life. He turned and walked next to Anthos. "You will have to excuse Rosy. When it comes the gardens her mind kind of... well, gets taken over!!" he said with a smile on his face watching Rosa trot away. He looked at Anthos and felt his heart pound. "Whe-ere are y-ou fr-from?" clearing his throat, as if the studdering was due to a tickle!

Anthos giggled softly; a rather girlish sound. She watched as Rosa trotted further into the garden and then turned her attention towards Estevan.
"It is not a problem. There is a stallion in my pasture similar to her." she seemed to think about him for a moment, silently comparing Rosa to him in her mind.
"Well. My pasture is..." she seemed to shrug and was suddenly embarrassed. "It is, um, that way." she motioned with her muzzle towards where she came from.

Estevan just looked at Anthos. "That way!!" he thought to himself. She seemed unsure about the answer. But he wasn't going to press the issue. He just smiled at her. He like the way the sun hit her hair. She smelled wonderful. "What can I say to make her stay for awhile." he thought. "I'm starving!!" he said as his tummy growned. "Have you already had breakfast? Rosy has some wonderful apples and berries down by the pond!! Would you like some?" he said to her with more care, as not to studder!

Peering around, Anthos was about to tell him that she was not hungry- she did not wish to be a hassle as some unannounced guests sometimes tend to be- but before she could utter a single word her stomach betrayed her with a low growl, informing the world of its emptiness.
She shyly cast her gaze downwards and in the same movement shook her head slightly, "I am afraid I have not." she replied quietly, "But I do not wish to intrude."

"Intruding!? Well, if you don't intrude and have some breakfast with me. I will, well, be alone anyway! Rosy is not much company when she is so concerned about the gardens!!" Estevan smiled from ear to ear, suddenly feeling more comfortable with Anthos. He looked for Rosa, but she was no where in site. "Probably down at the roses." he thought to himself. Hoping that she was feeling better about the sweet peas. He hated seeing his good friend in distress.

Rosa was right where Estevan thought she was. She was watering and tending to the Roses. It was her favorite place in the gardens. She loved the way they looked and smelled.
She felt much better then she did earlier in the morning. It was calm again. She didn't even want to think about what had happened.
She hummed a little song to the roses, while watering them.
She did hope that Estevan was keeping Anthos company.

Anthos giggled and smiled a warm, shy smile, "Well, if you are certain I will not be any sort of bother, I suppose a small bite could not hurt..."

Estevan just stood there. He didn't know what to say, but he didn't want to seem to eager to have her join. But he liked Anthos so far and wanted to have some company for breakfast. "Well, come on. Let's go get some apples!" he said as he walked down the path towards the apple orchard. It was nice down there. Close to the pond. "What kind of apples do you like? Red, green, yellow, sour, sweet?" He chuckled as he was trying to be humorous.

Anthos followed half a step behind, not wanted to fall too far behind but unsure of her footing.
She thought about his question for a heartbeat then answered, "I like sweet apples." she nodded, mostly to herself, "Red ones."
"And yourself?" she questioned, "Which are your favourite, Estevan?"

Estevan wasn't surprised when she answered that she prefered sweet apples. "Well, I have to admit, Rosa's apples are the sweetest!! You'll love them!" he laughed as he spoke. He was excited for her to taste the apples. He was always proud to show off Rosa's hard work in the gardens. He secretly hoped that Rosa like Anthos as much as he did. It was nice to have new ponies to hang out with. "Oh, I guess I like the green sour ones!! I guess it just depends!" he chuckled. He really like them all. "Here we are!!" He said proudly looking over the orchard of apple trees. "We keep the trees shorter, so its not as hard to get the ones at the top." He said walking to one tree. He stood on his back legs and stretched to get an apple towards the top. He gently picked one and came down on all four legs. He walked over to Anthos and offered the apple. "Mumble, hhumble, mumble." Was all he could get out. His eyes were lit with excitement for her to taste the apple.

Rosa was done watering and tending to the roses. They looked wonderful. She stood back looking at them proudly. "Beautiful!!" she said with pride.
When Rosa had started the garden she and some other ponies had learned about irrigation systems for watering. So, it didn't take long to get all the watering done once she let the water run to the gardens.
She turned off the water. And looked around everything look wonderful. She did want to ask around to other ponies and see if anyone knew what had happened in the garden eariler. She shook her head trying not to worry to much. Maybe it was an accident. She hoped that someone would just tell her honestly. If it was she wouldn't be angry. Things happen.
In all the rush and worry of the morning she realized that she hadn't eaten any breakfast and that her tummy was growling. She smelled apples and carrots and it only made her tummy louder.
She wondered where Anthos and Estevan had wondered off to. Estevan was probably showing her the pond. It was one of his favorite places in the garden. And it was very pretty down there.
She walked to the hill and looked over the garderns. She spotted Anthos and Estevan standing at the head of the apple orchard. Estevan looked to be picking an apple.
