Maybe you should ride in on a motorcycle and jump through a hoop of fire before asking a girl out. At least then you won't be boring~

But I'm one who sticks to the first impression of a person. If some dude were to come up to me out of the blue and say "hey, wanna go out?" I'd reject them. Call me old-fashioned, but I wanna know a dude before he asks me out. So, my suggestion is to not approach a girl and have a "I WANNA DATE YOU" mindset, but just be like, hey, you seem cool, let's chat kinda vibe. At least then the girl will have a chance to find out if you're really as boring as she thinks you are.
But yeah, like Miss Fortune said, if a girl's not gonna even give you a chance, to hell with her.

I find it funny to see what people's first impressions of me are~ Sometimes they're kinda on the mark, and sometimes they're totally WAY off.

I've always been the same way. Maybe not from a first-impression-or-bust standpoint, but if some dude I don't know is making eyes at me from across the room, or starts trying to put the moves on, I just instinctively start putting out what my brother calls the "stay the hell away from me" vibe. biggrin

It makes me really uncomfortable when I go out somewhere and I can just tell that some random guy is getting interested in me without even knowing me... 'cause I hate having to deal with a dude hitting on me while I'm trying to be polite but still get him off my case...

So advice for TK: Don't be a creepy dude hitting on random girls in bars. Especially when they're with their parents and are clearly there for karaoke and not to get picked up by random dudes.

xd I don't go to bars, nor do I plan on going to them. I wouldn't know what to do anyways.

I'm not the bar type either, but I go with my parents to one of the local hangouts for karaoke on weekends. You'd be amazed at how brazen some of these guys can be, especially considering my dad is sitting right there. biggrin The worst was this guy who had to be at least 20 years older than me and wasn't even trying to hide the fact that he was trying to pick me up. And when I told him I had a boyfriend, he said something about how I might need a backup if my boyfriend gets into an accident or something. neutral

So yeah... if you can manage not to be like that, you've already got a good head start on some of the would-be studs out there. biggrin
