Hey! Have you heard?! It's grand final day tomorrow?
What? You had no idea? You mean it hasn't made the international news?
You'd never know it the way everyone's carrying on about it.
So far, EVERY SINGLE STORY on the so called "news" has been about football.
allow me to make myself perfectly clear:
I DO NOT GIVE A RAT'S ARSE ABOUT FOOTBALL!!!!
I turned on the news because I wanted to hear actual news! not 20 mins of football crap. I don't care how many people went to the grand final eve parade. I don't care if the weather conditions are going to effect the pre-match entertainment. I don't care who's playing or who the Prime Minister thinks is going to win.
The last 5 mins of the news before the weather report has been set aside so that they can cram in a few rushed stories - something about assaults on Indian students and immigrants and something about some guy in england - but no time for that, we have to ask the weather guy what the match conditions will be like? *head-desk*
I DO NOT CARE!!!!!!!!!!!! stressed

I don't care what you think as long as it's about me; The best of us can find happiness in misery.
>.> What? No, I don't listen to too much Fall Out Boy at all...
I fully understand about the sports coverage, though. They do too damn much of it here, too.

Sports news - always crazy and over-covered. Michael Jackson's death - talked about a long time and took a big chunk out of the news.
I think the sports thing must be pretty universal in Western (culture) countries.

Just in case you were all perched on the edges of your seats, waiting for the result, Geelong won.
hmm, you've never heard of Geelong, you say? *shock horror!* xp
blargh! Now that the football is over, we'll hear about it for another couple of weeks and then we'll be subjected to 6 months of cricket gonk once the cricket's over, back to football. *sigh*
When will it ever end?!
