but that doesn't explain why the apple is floating and she appears to be concentrating or passed out, so i doubt she's very hungry....

Both of the reasons explained above are wrong.
True the lack of detail makes the "apple" be out of place, in reality it was followed by a rain of fruits, but due to my lazyness I never got to draw the rest of the fruits sweatdrop

laziness huh? I suspect her special abilities may have more to do with the fact that there's an apple levitating
