I'm not really saying that you don't know how to speak politically correctly, I am just saying that you could use it more. It may be against your personality, de-emphasizes what you are trying to say etc., but there are a lot of people easily offended and lose interest in Christianity due to our tongue.
About the Bible, thanks for the advice Spike, I'll listen to what you say.

Hmm, Spike, what about the NIV? And The Message. Though, The Message tends to gloss over things, and change them so they're easier to accept. It also makes them way more complicated than they actually are. "False prophets" becomes "appostilic pretenders".

What I know about NIV is that, there are many omitted words in it like Godhead, Trinity, adulterers etc. It is also heavily edited, going through many translations and seeing that many Christians do not pay attention to their Bible's version, it seems that people took advantage of that fact.

The translation that I use is the New King James. It isn't paraphrased like the Message (Which is a good translation for simply reading or using as references due to it's modern speech) and doesn't omit any words. My Bible also has a really useful center column of cross-references and footnotes. It tells about parts that are normally omitted in other translations, gives literal translations and alternate words, and has a neat empty/shaded star thing that shows when prophecies are made and when they are fulfilled pirate The language in it isn't the easiest to read, but it ist far more decipherable than thee King James thou speaketh of.

The NIV translates ideas, the KJV translates roughly accurately most of the time, the NASB is a word-for-word translation, and The Message I wouldn't really consider an actual Bible, since it's a complete paraphrasing. I have an NIV and I don't see any issues with reading it, though some would cry about words being omitted when, as I said earlier, the reason they don't show up is usually because of either a textual variant in the manuscripts or the word doesn't show up in earlier manuscripts than those used when translating the King James Version. The NIV and NKJV are fine, though I prefer the NASB and KJV for the reliability and language.
