"It's okay," she replied with a small smile, "ya, you didn't know~." Kaveri agreed gaining a bit of cheerfulness back after her small confession. It was better to say so before he expected her to try and read some of this stuff out loud to him. That would have been a bit unfortunate for the both of them. Plus Da and Dee frowned upon lying! No lying. Not for her. She was a good girl.
Kaveri nodded in understandingly as she watched Emmet put the book back. Maybe when she was old enough she could try reading them and maybe Emmet would like her more? Or at least be appreciative of her attempt to try something he was interested in. She knew she would appreciate any such attempts. Kaveri grasped his hand back and followed him to the display.
"Poke...mon.." She took the Eevee as it was offered to her and looked it over with a thoughtful hum. They did look pretty cute! If Emmet said they were fun then she would have to believe, "How do you play pokemons?"

"Um...well...there's a card game...an' a video-game..." Emmet pondered over how to play, both ways were very different, after all! His mouth was open to start explaining both of them when he realized something...rather important. "Oh...But...you gotta be able to read..." Emmet poited the tips of his index fingers together, feeling suddenly very awkward again. All of his hobbies and all of the things in this store required a decent understanding of the written word.
Eer...well...oops.
"Erm...w-well, if you wanna...you can pick a comic and I can read it t'you?" That seemed fair, right? "If you wanna...I w-wouldn't mind...and, yanno, if there's no where else you wanna go." Because he didn't just want to stay in the comic book store if she was uncomfortable about not being able to read!
