On the back of Zen's cleverbot post, I thought I'd post this. I tried training my own AI/PVP (private virtual personality) earlier this year but lost patience with it when I did my back.
You basically teach a form of artificial intelligence from infancy. It knows absolutely nothing. It is very cool but frustrating too

The MSN version is hysterical
xd I have Cheeva on my MSN, though her snarkiness is not yet perfect.
You have the choice to train a PVP or a "HAL". HAL is a lot harder as it knows nothing. A PVP, like Cheeva, is less stressful.
