“A previous patient and a worker from the Lab? Alex?” asked Hazeline, the image of the Italian woman coming instantly to mind. “You have met quite a few of them then and oh, yes, the paperwork,” said Hazeline quickly bending over to scribble over the required details and ending it with her signature. “Done,” said Hazeline handing the paperwork over. “Pardon the horrible handwriting though. It’s a bad habit of mine,”
The same name came to Xiu’s mind at the mention of a worker from the lab as none of the other staff seemed to be the up and about type. But what was she doing meeting the doctor? Was she…
Something in Xiu’s mind clicked.
“Are you…going to be taking care of a raevan of your own?” asked Xiu quietly as he looked at the doctor. “If so, I look forward to meeting the raevan when he or she emerges,”
“Huh?” said Hazeline looking a little lost.
“No, it’s probably just my fancy,” said Xiu. “And Joshua needs to get his arm looked at at the hospital,”
“R-Right,” said Hazeline. “I’ll just settle the bill and then we shall leave, alright?”

Talking about Raevans seemed to have sparkled quite a few interest in the guardian and the Raevan in front of him. The mention of Alex made his nerve twitch a little, but Kenth's blank expression remained.
"It's fine." Said the doctor was he took back the paperwork. Even Kenth himself could care less about the paperwork, they were all just a part of the process. He carelessly slapped the paperwork on the desk behind him, and was relieved that this rigid procedure was finally over.
Xiu's question didn't surprise the doctor, although childishly he was annoyed at the fact that the Raevan's intelligence was high enough to match that of a human. "Not yet." He gave Xiu a short reply. It was true, Kenth wasn't even sure if a Raevan could emerge at the moment. It was merely something he hoped for. "Anyway, the paperwork's done. Since I have your address down, I can always mail the bill to you. Of course, if you have any cash or credit card with you we can settle the payment down right now also. "

“I’ll be paying cash,” said Hazeline pulling out her purse. Stepping over to the Doctor, Hazeline waited while Doctor Larine prepared the bill and upon receiving it, paid the Doctor the required amount. Taking Joshua’s hand, Hazeline smiled at the Doctor. “Thank you, Doctor,” And with that, the guardian turned and led Joshua (who grinned cheekily at the Doctor) away.
Xiu nodded. He guessed it would take some time for a raevan to emerge. Well, he had time enough anyway and with Joshua being a patient of Dr. Larine, Xiu guessed he’d probably be meeting the Doctor in the future when the occasion calls for it. There was no rush. “Yes, thank you, Doctor,” said Xiu politely as the frei absently touched his hurt arm. Wincing a little at the sore feeling it generated, Xiu gave the Doctor one last polite nod before following his guardian and Joshua home.
