My homosexual idol is a buddy of mine, he's gay and always just so awesome. Almost every time I see him, I want to glomp him! Not to mention, he's down-to-earth, and hot. I even love his name. Teehee.
For celebrities, I'd say Elton John, Ian McKellen, and Ricky Martin.
