She just stopped a moment later before grinning to him and settling down on her haunches. Waiting a moment for him to join, she cleared her throat and let her tail slide across the dirt.
"They say that many years ago, when momma hadn't even been born yet, there was a start that was as bright as the sun!" She looked up to the sky and narrowed her eyes, clearly picturing it, "Right there, in place of that other bright star..." Lifting her paw, she pointed to the north start a moment.

Kenai looked over-joyed what he was getting to know a real secret! He listened to his sister very carefully, eyes flicking toward the sky where she pointed out a star, and another star had been in the place of it. "Before mum was born?" He stated, sounding confused. That was.. forever! He didn't know their mother once never was. "An' what a~bout this star?" He asked, eager to hear more of this story.

Giggling to herself, she paused to let him comment before she shushed him lightly.
"Momma wasn't here forever, there were times when she was as small as us..." She said with a sense of knowlage, "Anyways, that star was so bright, that it warmed the nights and lead the way for our Pride. One day, though, it fell from the sky, and the only light left was the moon..." Pouting as she stopped there, she waited to see what Kenai was going to say afterwards, for she still had a bit more to go.

He made a face at her as she shushed him and rolled his eyes, but he was again smiling and listening. He gasped at this next part, wondering what it'd be like with just the moonlight! "What happened next?" He said, hanging on her every word.

"The Goddess decided to help the pride out, and used her powers to create anew the light, in the form of a small seedling. When it went under the ground, it faded all light and disappeared, however, every year it would bloom at midnight. After many years, the flower spread thanks to the Goddess, and soon there was a whole feild, however, it has never been seen..." She took a breath before adding, "...yet..." And with that, she had told him of her adventure she would be going on that evening.

He took another quick breath, looking very excited at this. "Like... moon flowers." He whispered, because that was the first thing he thought of when light was in the form of a flower. Moon light. "Do you mean we'll go find the field?" He yipped, his voice a little shrill in it's excitement. He was bouncing from paw to paw, his grin large on his face.
Oh this would be such an amazing adventure!

She nodded once, than twise, answering both questions silently before she looked up to the moon that was just reaching out to the sky. Turning her eyes back onto her brother, she moved to stand close and whispered for him only.
"We must'nt tell anyone, not even mother or father. This is our secret, alright?" She than quickly added, "And it wont be easy...we wont find it probably until we are as big as mother...but right now we should go home...they will be worried..." her eyes showed a light sense of sorrow as she thought about how the night had yet to begin. Yet, she knew if two siblings were gone, her parents would notice a lot easier.

- - - - - Kenai yawned lightly as he rested a couple of feet away from the river, tail flicking idly back and forth. He was posissioned on his back, so that the sun wouldn't beat down on him so harshly. It was hard having a black stripe down your back, not to mention a black mane-growth. It made the hottest days even hotter, and that made Kenai very lethargic.
A low purr tumbled out of the prince, dark eyes resting easily on the river that gushed by in a violent flow, so calming though the current was rough. Kenai was in love with water, and he wasn't quite sure why.
