"I know, right?" He was actually familiar with the gold star concept, as his guardian had more or less attempted to homeschool him, complete with stickers. Mik had eaten a scratch-and-sniff one once, and been sorely disappointed to discover that it didn't taste like it smelled.
"Really? You've got parents, then?" No jealousy or anything like that, just curiosity.

"Yeah. I have a guardian, but im the son of two fa'e instead of just.... coming from wherever they do come from." He shrugged. It wasn't all that cracked up to be - his mother was spotty at best, and his father had just recently returned from being gone before he had even been born. In a sense, both parents were pretty unknown to him. And, unfortunately from what he could tell, he was not the only one with a similar situation. "It's not all that great... Some days it just seems like it would be much simpler if I just had Zero. And if I could just call her mom without making her feel guilty." Not that he would exchange his father with anything else in the world, from what little he had come to learn of him.

Mikhail nodded quietly. It was a situation he couldn't empathize with, seeing as he only had a guardian. It would be much more complicated, essentially have three parents instead of one. Stefan was plenty. Regardless, he was curious what the lives of other Fa'e were like, whether they had biological parents or not. "I've always sort of wondered what it would be like if I'd grown up here."

"Grown up here... ?" Apparently, it was Sei's turn to be curious. Mik had been born somewhere else ? He hadn't ever heard of a fa'e that was born in a world other than gaia before...

Ah, right. It seemed like most of the Fa'e he met still had no idea about the ones who'd been 'lost.' Was he the only one who socialized, or something? "Yeah. Some of us showed up in other places, and no one bothered to come and get us until a few years ago. So we're a little...behind."
Whatever Airi's reasons, he still wasn't terribly happy about the three year wait to be brought home, as it were.

"...I've never heard of anything like that happening before." Sei said, clearly a little startled by the notion. It really sounded a little odd... Would he have turned out any different, if Zero was still living in Xirian and he had been born there ? With no one else to tell him what being a fa'e was, and why he was so different ?
"What was the world you're from like ? And how long have you been on gaia ?" He was really curious now.

"There are...half a dozen of us, maybe?" he supposed, mentally counting the ones he knew. Yeah, just about. "The world I'm from wasn't much, really. Mostly just humans, no magic or anyone weird-looking or anything, at least not that many people believe in."

"It never really occurred to me that something like that was possible." The blonde said, a thoughtful expression slipping on his face. That probably must not have been on purpose... The vast majority of what had kept him safe most time had been the sheer number of other fa'e present with him when s**t went down. To grow up with none of your peers, without knowing at the very least the basics of what one was...
...It didn't seem very ideal. His guardian had, indeed, come from another world to this one, but given that he was part of the somewhat-rare occurrence of two fa'e having a child rather than coming from... wherever most came from... made it somewhat unlikely that this could have happened to him.
As least, that's what he thought for now.
"Im glad you're here now, though." And he indeed was. Mik was more... laid-back, perhaps, than most fa'e - easier to talk to for him.

"Apparently Airi...learned as she went along." Something he certainly wasn't thrilled by, judging from the tone of his voice. Learning as you went was okay for lots of things, but bringing people back to life? It was a little fishy. But he'd survived it, but...
Sei's observation distracted him from those thoughts. That was one of the nicest things anyone had ever said to him. He smiled warmly, surprised and grateful. "Me too."

He could not help but make a bit of a face. Learned... as she went along. Beautiful. But then something else occured to him. "Airi... ?"
He had no idea who that was. No idea howsoever.

Wait...seriously? Sei didn't know who Airi was? But...he'd grown up here! Sure, she hadn't actually made him, since he had parents, but how did he not know? It was very surprising, to be honest. "She's the one who made us. Well, not you, but...most Fa'e."

"I see... I never really heard much about her." He admitted - Mik's curiosity was hard to not notice, after all. "My parents weren't really around to explain me... and Zero doesn't really know much about fa'e." He spoke of that without much emotion - it was the way things were and by now, he felt nothing really specific about it.
