He was stunned that the others feelings for him were that strong. To think, one of the scarier nations felt something other then his normal perverse pleasure at others misfortune, at towards him no less! Yao knew the bond they shared ran deep, but for it to touch upon the concept of love....
"Then Yao is happy aru." China said finally, tugging Russia closer to him when the taller nation pulled away. "I like you too Ivan aru. I might not always show it and I might be paranoid whenever it looks like you are up to something but... I really did miss you back then aru. And..." He pulled at one of Ivan's large hands until he could move it over his stomach. "We have two little ones to tie us closer now. Closer then a wedding band ever could." He smiled at Ivan, his eyes glowing with something unnameable.
It was as if a switch had been flipped then, the happy light that made him glow darkened. "Yao just wanted to know if Ivan would have married Yao without the children aru." He rubbed his fingers against the back of Ivan's hand, claws lightly scraping against the fur there. "If Ivan was going to marry Yao out of a sense of duty, it would have been accepted, but since there is emotion as well it will be better for the children aru." Yao smiled, flashing more teeth then needed. "Yao doesn't want to be hurt again, and Yao will make sure nothing hurts him or his children aru."
Just as abruptly as it appeared the darkness lifted from China's expression. "What do you want to name them aru? I like Ting-lan or Ting- ting if one is a girl aru. Tao-ran would be a good boy's name. Or Tao Xun aru."

Russia relaxed back into the other male's embrace and listened to him talk. All of what China said might not exactly be clear to his insanity hazed mind, but at least Russia tried to make sense of it all. It was true that he had left China in a state of disrepair, and that he himself had had his share of trouble.
But it was different now. HE was different now. He knew the power of having a close ally. Hadn't Ellie helped teach him to be a better person? Hadn't she helped him to gain confidence in friendship? The little pink Noct had warmed his heart with a friendship that he didn't think could ever break, and it had helped him to better see that relationships were good. That life was more than playing games or conquering others.
When Russia felt the tug of his fur in China's claws he winced at the sudden pain. "I really don't want to hurt you again." He said, pausing to gather his thoughts before continuing, "If I could take back that pain. . . If only I could. . . And I might scheme and plot, but that's only so that I can get closer to you again." Frowning down into the other nation's eyes he sighed deeply, trying to make China understand he was different now. That he'd realized how much he'd missed the other male in the years that had passed between their closeness. It was true that he had never been good with words or feelings, but he did feel them. He just didn't know how to make things go back to the way they had used to be.
After a considerable length of time, the taller male said, "I really like the names Kostya and Anitchka for them."

"If wishes were granted then we would all rule the world aru." China said, running his hand up Russia's arm now in an absentminded way. "I'll let you know if you hurt me this time. I...couldn't stand it if something were to break us apart with the children on the way aru." He could raise the children single handedly, he'd done it before, but that didn't mean he wanted to do it again. It was hard the first time around with his siblings. But to single handedly raise children that came from his own body? It would....be like a dream. A strange and painful dream.
"How about this, you can name the first born and I will name the second aru." Yao said, willing to compromise. If not their children would end up with a very long mouthful of a name. He leaned over to nuzzle Russia's neck. Now that all of that had been said, his shoulders were feeling just a little lighter. He hadn't known just how much those issues had been bothering him until they had been aired.
