Trista laughed at Payton's statement about purposely making her mad to see her drawings. "Really it's just any kind of thing that will set it off. If I'm upset that I failed a test maybe, or if I lost something important. Just anything that makes me upset in some way, I will usually end up drawing better when I try. I think I'm an okay drawer at any other time, just I feel more skilled with it when I know I'm upset in some way." Trista looked at the other students who filled their carriage and gave a small smile to each one as they entered. She looked around once the wagon started to move and admired the scenery as they drove off away from the school.

ooc: sorry about not posting this thread sooner if I knew they were going to close it this week. I'll just skip to Hogsmeade, if its okay.
Payton didn't feel to bad for his remark, knowing that maybe she'd offer to show him a few of her drawings if she'd allow. He dropped his hand nervously on his lap at the wagon moved ahead. He turned his head to look out the same window as Trista, even though he could have easily looked out his side, half of his attention on her the other half past her. He took in a deep breath, wishing what ever was pulling the wagons would go faster.
When they reached Hogsmeade, Payton stood up first and open the door stepping out onto the dirt road and the fresh air- he wasn't a fan of tight spaces. He held the door open for the other kids and then held out his hand for Trista to take, to help her exit cautiously. "Off to Honeydukes," he said casually with a grin. He felt a lot calmer than this morning now that they were off together. Hopefully he won't do anything to mess the day up.

They arrived at Hogsmeade and when Payton offered his hand to Trista as he exited the carriage, she took it kindly with a thankful smile on her face. She stepped down and plopped to the ground next to the boy. She looked up to gaze around, and she watched the other students run off to attend to their shopping and amusements. Trista linked her arm through Paytons at the elbows and patted his arm. "Off to Honeydukes." She repeated after him, offering a wide grin.

Payton released a long breath while Trista linked her arm to his elbow, being surprised by the action yet grateful to her boldness. He nodded, giving her a side grin as they headed in the direction of the running students. He could tell they were in their third year, not really knowing where to go but acted as if they were like birds let out of a cage for the first time in years.
When they reached the shop, Payton led Trista inside to find the shop almost filled with students on every counter and wall. His attention caught a taffy machine, watching the green taffy being pulled, wondering what flavor that would be for today. He turned his head to see a few students crowding around a new display,"want to go check out the new selections?" asking openly, he could tell they needed a lot of time to decide on what to get when there's more to count.

Trista followed with Payton, gazing around to take in all the sights of the students who were new to Hogsmeade. Watching their reactions and amazement made Trista think back to her own third year when she had just been able to enter Hogsmeade. She couldn't do anything but smile at the children and be happy for them. Trista and Payton entered the shop and they stared around at the crowded room, watching the rushing children as they zoomed by, introducing the new sweets to their friends. Trista laughed at the sight, but answered Payton with a 'yes'.
