"The nephilim has moved?" The old man raised an eyebrow, looking slightly flustered. He turned to Omar and gave a narrowed glare, "You are still young. All of you are still young and have not fought in a war like this before. Like babies holding guns." His hand moved up to his forehead, pressing against the wrinkled skin as he let out a long sigh. "If the Nephilim has moved...though," He shook his head, "We will not fight. We will never fight....but perhaps we may help." He waved his hand away, "eat dumplings. All of you eat dumplings, and give me time to think."

Mae glanced to Tyson, "The Nephilim," she whispered, "is a metal creature who destroys...to protect. So I've been told. He wouldn't leave his place at the council unless the situation is grave." Her eyes seemed to lose focus as she reflected back on the letter, the one Tyson had fished from the body, their former spy. He was certain the Keepers intended to destroy, St.Eva, her grandfather was certain he was mistaken. With the Nephilim's presence, that theory could no longer be ignored.

"Yeah what ever.."Omar Ignored the old man because he knew nothing about him and Omar didn't know a thing about him either. Omar made his way back to the table and sat himself down.

........

The moon was round and bright and it was dark outside, but the city lights were lit bright. For the past 2 hours a man sat squatted on top of a near by roof-top just about 200 hundred yards away from the Chinese restaurant. He was wearing a slim fitting black jump suit equip with a matching bullet proof vest that had a red demonic like hand as the insignia on the left side of the vest. He leaned in with a pair of small black binoculars, watching every move that everyone made in the restaurant. He was even listening onto there conversation through a small radio device planted in his ear. "Gyle.. to captain commander.."He said into the head set. "So did you find him?" "Yeah I did..he seems to be hanging around some of his friends..." "Hmm ok." "Also sir they have mentioned some important information regarding The Nephilim, supposedly one of the head council members of The Keepers.." The keepers have been a major thorn in my side, but no worries at all. Stay put for a while Gyle and keep watch and try to squeez out more information, also keep a watch on my little cousin for me. Understood?"I understand sir" Also one last thing, please stop being so formal, you've known me long enough to call me by my first name. "Yes sir.." "Ahh, see you did it again gyle, anyway over and out" Gyle push the button on the side of the headset to listen back into the conversation that was going on in the restaurant. He couldn't help but give a small but settled chuckle after that last bit with his boss.

Her eyes seemed to lose focus as she reflected back on the letter, the one Tyson had fished from the body, their former spy. Marcus sized this chance to speak up.
"Then don't fight. All I'm askin' of you folks is to donate us a few of your biggest beaters. In exchange... You get me, and the Guard's resources to your cause, and Kat and Rook get your beaters to help their fight. Think what you can do with my resources."

Gyle was now siting cross legged in an Indian style position still watching and listening down on the group of people that occupied the restaurant. "hmp.."beaters"..."he said as he rolled his eyes

The old man threw his hands up in the air with a swift motion. "Tomorrow. Come back tomorrow. I will think on this, but I give no promises." He moved toward the backroom, shutting the door firmly behind him.

After a few seconds, when she knew he was out of hearing range, Mae spoke up. "I'll talk with him. And I can give you the names of some of our more...powerful friends." She seemed to hesitate briefly, she knew it wasn't something her grandfather wanted, but times were changing. "Come back tomorrow as asked, and I will help you even if he doesn't."

Marcus nodded, offering Mae his hand.
"Any help'd be appreciated. I mean... I'm not much use other than a bullet magnet and a paycheck for Kat and her's. I can still give them my funds, but giving them one less damsel in distress is prolly the most help I can offer."

"Well then! It's settled. Glad to know that there are still sane people in the world." Maya stood up and bowed to Mae, nodding to Tyson subtly. Of course they would get help. They were the good guys after all.

Tyson caught Maya's nod and returned the motion with his own. His eyes then turned to Mae. She seemed to have a lot of trust in these people. He didn't doubt it was for good reason, but he was still skeptical of helping these people when he was still very much in the dark. Slowly, his eyes began to drift off towards where Mae's grandfather had gone off, but quickly altered there course else where. "So, what are my choirs again?" he asked her idly, acting like a scene hadn't just played out in front of them.

Mae's eyes moved to Marcus's offered hand. There was a brief moment of hesitation, but she quickly took it, giving it a soft shake. "I will do my best," She said, her voice sounding more determined than the the light grip of her hand. She let go, turning to give Maya a nod in return.

She still looked hesitant until she heard Tyson's question, which brought a smile to her face. It was nice to have a task, something normal and routine to distract from the greater events. "Table washing, and dish washing, and possibly floor washing." She grinned wider, "and I'm picky, so you better do it well, yes?"

Tyson smirked at her little tag ending. "Have you ever seen wood sparkle?" he retorted playfully. He hopped she hadn't, because then that would ruin the surprise. When he cleaned up, he really cleaned house. Leave it cleaner than we found it was his motto. Besides, he was getting payed in food, which was all the more reason to do a better job. At least in his mind. The better the job, the more they'd toss at him. And he could eat.

"That sounds nice...as long as the sparkles don't involve fire." Mae said, her brow creasing into a moment of worry before it relaxed into a smile. She tossed Tyson a wash rag, before turning to do her own work, and the Chinese restaurant once more turned back focus to being a Chinese restaurant.

Tyson grabbed the rag and went about his work. Sure enough, as the hours went by, the restaurant began to look bright and clean. Not that it wasn't before, but this was more of a like-new type of deal. Anything for some food. He wasn't going to lie, he was hungry again.
