(ma1ma1 qi2ma3, ma3 man4, ma1ma1 ma4 ma3)
Mother is riding a horse. The horse is slow; mother scolds the horse.

(si4 shi2 si4, shi2 shi4 shi2, shi2si4 shi4 shi2si4, si4shi2 shi4 si4shi2, si4shi2si4 zhi1shi2 shi1zi3 shi4 si3 de)
4 is 4, 10 is 10, 14 is 14, 40 is 40, 44 stone lions are dead.

The tones are what make them hard (obviously), and the second one is even harder because "si" and "shi" are two totally different vowel sounds, despite being romanized the same way ("-i").

I might record myself doing these, or at least the first one, 'cause I can do the first one pretty well. The second one always throws me off.

Here's another one that my Chinese professor came up with in class the other day in order to try to get us to differentiate between "q" and "ch":

出去吃汽车
(chu1qu4 chi1 qi4che1)

"to go out and eat cars" xd

(How can you put bricks on the sky? D: )

Pablito clavó un clavito, ¿qué clavito clavó, Pablito? Pablito clavó el clavito chiquitito.

(Conclusion: Pablito is evil. Throw rocks at him.)

(My dad came up with this one. That explains the patheticness. xD)

Doña Cuchíbrica se cortó un débrico con la tijébrica del zapatébrico, el zapatébrico se la curó y...no me acuerdo como termina. xDD;;

3 shorts:

¿Con cuàntas planchas plancha Pancha?

Nueve nenes nadan.

Mi mamà me mima.

I saw them a while ago, so they might have a few minor errors.

Me gusta este juego >_>

First One

No me mires, que miran
que nos miramos,
y verán en tus ojos
que nos amamos.
No nos miremos,
que cuando no nos miren
nos miraremos.

In English:

Don't look at me,
for if they see that we are looking at each other,
and they will see in your eyes that we love each other.
Let's not look at each other,
so that when they don't look at us we will look at each other.

Second One

How much wood would a rodent gnaw, if rodents would gnaw wood?
