+ Common Species +

User Image

Earth Ponies are the most common Ponies who live in the area. They're pretty much just normal Ponies and have no special 'look' about them. Earth Ponies breed with all other species.

Unicorn Ponies have a thin tail with a tuft on the end of it and a single horn on their foreheads. In general, they tend to live in Dream Valley, though there are some exceptions. Unicorns breed with all other species.

Pegasus Ponies have feathered wings growing from their shoulders. These wings allow them to soar through the skies like birds. Pegasus can breed with all other species.

Flutter Ponies are slimmer and lighter in weight than most other Ponies. They come from Flutter Valley and most of their power comes from the light of the sun. They also have an object called the Sunstone which captures this light and focuses it so they can use the power better. Because of the Sunstone, Flutter Valley is almost always warm and sunny, even in winter! Flutter Ponies breed with all other species.

Breezies are the tiniest, most hyper ponies of all. They are about 1/3 the size of regular earth ponies and love to zip around on their wings. Flight is the one thing that will always cheer them up. Above all, they pride themselves on their wings and love to show them off. They breed with all other ponies.

Both Pixies and Demonex come from a land across the sea known as the Realm of Mystic. The two species are very similar to each other, the only difference being in the style of their wings. Though Pixies are generally thought to be "good" and Demonex "evil", there are exceptions on both sides to this "rule". Pixes and Demonex may breed with all other species.

Sea Ponies are masters of the oceans! They love to play and swim in the waves and along the shoreline. They mostly live in and around Rainbow Reef, though some have been known to 'move' to inland lakes and rivers, sometimes with the help of land-going Ponies. Sea Ponies are smaller than most land species, though not as small as the Breezies. Sea Ponies breed with all other species, and if a Sea Pony is bred with an Earth pony, there is a small chance of getting a Mer-pony.

Cosplay Ponies are those Ponies who have somehow been pulled from other worlds and become Ponies in this one. They "cosplay" certain characters from books, movies, anime, anything! They usually wear clothing and some have Talents that carry over from wherever they came from before. Cosplay Ponies breed with all other species.

For as long as anyone can remember, Demons have lurked in the dark shadows and caves of Nightmare Valley. They possess horns, fangs, and demonic wings - as well as tails with a barb on the end. These barbs are poisonous, as are their fangs if they bite you. The wings, though not physically attached to their shoulders, are magical in nature and allow them to fly. They tend to have dark powers and only appear in force during certain months of the year. Demons may breed with all other species.

Vampire ponies originated out of Nightmare Valley. They dislike the sun, using their cape to hide from it if necessary, and usually sleep during the day, spending most of their waking hours out around the night. Since they don’t eat normally like the other ponies, they need to go out of their way to find victims for blood. Not all of them are evil, although they all share the basic need for blood instead of food. They breed with all other ponies.

Various tales speak of Ponies that rise from the graves of ancient times to walk among us. They are swathed in bandages and have a strange gleam in their eyes. Many are discolored and misshapen - though there are also those that are strangely beautiful. These Mummy Ponies tend to live in small groups in Nightmare Valley. They don't need to eat or drink, though several of them like to so they can remember some of what it feels like to be alive. Mummies breed with all other ponies.

+ Rare Species +

User Image

Dragons became an endangered species after they faced a massive attack. A few eggs were saved and they are slowly repopulating themselves. The originated in the high mountains, but have since come to Dream Valley to mingle with their new friends. They are powerful and large, and since there are so few of them left, they are rather protective and possessive of their own kind and all who they love. Most of them are naturally resistant to magic. They breed with all other ponies.

Mer-Ponies are a rare by-product of Earth and Sea Ponies breeding together. Every so often, a Mer-Pony is produced from this sort of breeding... and then they grow slowly in number as Mer-Ponies breed with one another. Mer-Ponies are most comfortable in the sea, but they can go up onto land a lot easier than the more aquatic Sea Ponies. Mer-Ponies breed with all other species except Hippogryphs

+ Super-Rare Species +

Imp ponies are somewhat like a smaller version of the Nightmare Legend. They are about half the size of a normal Earth pony and absolutely love to cause chaos and mischief. Imps are one-stage ponies and cannot breed.

Cherub ponies are somewhat like a smaller version of the Dream Legend. They are about half the size of a normal Earth pony and they truly enjoy spreading kindness and love. Cherubs are one-stage ponies and cannot breed.

Seryphs are a very rare species of Ponies. They have longer, straight hair, and thin translucent wings. They tend to sparkle and shine, day or night. Breedings in which a Seryph breeds with another Seryph will always result in twins - and males are much more prevalent than females. Seryphs can breed with all other species, and all Seryphs have twins.

Legends are the rarest of all pony species - requiring a lot of love and dedication from owners to reach this stage. Legends generally are more powerful than any other species of pony and are the ultimate epitome of light and darkness in the pony world. There is no distinction in lineart for male and female Legends - Nightmares and Dreams can be either gender. Dreams and Nightmare CANNOT breed with each other, but may breed with all other species For more information on Legend Breeding, please see this post.
