Tamaki is popular not only for his looks but because he doesn't act like most guys, in my opinon. His may be a bit of a ditz (That's another reason why I like him) But because he genuially cares about people. He may not always know the best way to say it or to help but he always puts others before himself. He his consantly positive and happy. He treats everyone equally and is pretty fun. Sure he has some annoying traits but who doesn't right? (No offense) But most guys only care for themselves and thier Xbox360 lol. But this is why I think Tamaki is a popular character, not to mention his puppy dog eyes lol.

Well, I do concider Tamaki kinda cute. Plus, he's just an airhead, which I find entertaining and funny. He actually cares about people, even if he doesn't know them well. He's just a good guy.

personaly i think he acts like a dumb s**t but when he cares about someone/somthing i think it pretty nice but his over the top kinda crazy is annoying at times

Is it the voice? In the Japanese version, Tamaki is voiced by the same seiyū who voices Riku in Kingdom Hearts... question Who knows?!

It's because he's a total idiot, totally oblivious to everything, and extremely easy to mentally abuse! It's makes him so likable because he's so happy, dispite all his personal issues!
