You know, instead of reading vampire novels, how about we read werewolf novels? At least the werewolves in Twilight weren't really werewolves, more so just shape shifters. A good one is Cycle of the Werewolf by Stephen King.

Vampires are cool in my opinion, but I'd say vampires are way overused in novels, just like zombies are in games and movies.
What about werewolves and such? No one seems to remember those.

Werewolves are going to be playable in World of Warcraft now. Well, Worgen, but they're basically the same things XP
I'm just tired of Vampire Romance Novels in general. I wanna see more horror once.
ALSO... Konstantinos finished up a new book; "Werewolves: The Occult Truth." Look for it around Halloween time, and look for his Vampire one too. <3

How about we just boycott imaginary creatures alltogether. Just for a year. I'm really getting sick of it all.

You should teach them about the origin of vampire lore. Sit them down and go through the topics of the start of vampires, porphyria, Elizabeth of Bathody, Vlad the Impaler, and Dracula. Explain how Twilight only got famous because of the use of commercialism, and without it, the series would have been collecting dust at the corner shelf of a bookstore, going unnoticed by all. List kick a** vampires in media: Selene from Underworld, Blade, Dracula, Nosferatu, I mean you could throw in Lestat and Louis in there too, but they're kind of pussies too. Cooler than Eddy and his clan of sparkles, but still annoying.

Hey you know I've read one Nora Roberts book, it wasn't that bad. Given it was about 2 people falling in love but the main female character was strong, she didn't need the help from the lead male any more then he needed her. And it was about modern undersea treasure hunting, it kinda reminded me of that movie/book The Deep
It was trash, BUT no where comparable to Twilight.
Nora Roberts just writes to sell nowdays. Plenty of people are using vamps just to sell now, and I've never really looked down on people who use others for their stupidity just the people who fall for it. I also was never into vampires in general, especially the romance thing, horror okay, but immortality by being seduced doesnt seem so scary to me...
