Does anybody know why the Hogwarts uniforms changed in the third movie?

In the first two, both the ties and the house scarves were equal coloured stripes, one for one and pretty thick, but later it became the dominant colour with a medium ish then two small (I believe) stripes of the accent colour.

Is this just because 3rd years/8th graders are special and get more refined clothes? Or did the uniform change for everybody? I've never scrutinized how the younger years look up close in the later movies (there's not much focus on them though, they're all nearly background characters/extras).

The Tonks thing, well you got to remember Tonks is a metamorghigus, she can change her look all the time, maybe in HBP she thought she looked better with that hair. It's nearly a year later, almost everyone looks different. I didn't really see Harry with green eyes past the first movie, the poster I have of him you can clearly see he has blue eyes. In all the movies past the first I see Harry with blue eyes, not green.
