Driving her away wasn't a problem. She wouldn't admit it, not even to herself, but she needed him. Needed the attention and love he gave her like half dead flower needed sun and water to survive the night.
And that was why she so often pushed him away. She wasn't sure she could give him what he needed. Not after what happened. She was broken. Damaged in more ways than one and she knew that Theron deserved better than that. Much better than she could ever give him.
