And I was thinking something. Do people not like it when I'm openly Anti-Twilight around them? I own a sort of 'debate' guild, which is about being open-minded. (It's called Universe - an Open House for the Open-Minded.) Do you think people think I'm a hypocrite? They're seeing my signature all the time, and I'm sure at least one person in there actually likes twilight.
Am I a bad role model? Should I not let my antiness spill over into my other community if I want to be a good leader?
Please share your thoughts.

You have a right to an opinion. Just as everyone else living in a free society does. There's no harm in expressing it.

Well if it's a guild for the Open Minded then they should openly accept what you like or hate. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, from how it sounds, in your guild especially.

First and foremost, YOU have the right to your own opinion. So who would they be to criticize you for thinking differently... Also it IS an Open-minded guild, alot of people will love Twatlight and have arguments about your sig. that doesnt make you a bad role model. It just means you have a better grip on what reality REALLY is. (but don't lay your anit(ness) on too thick just to be safe... sweatdrop )

Open minded is open minded. Actually, I'm not looking at it right now, if your signature criticizes people who like Twilight, that would be bad. But if your signature only criticizes Twilight itself, there should be absolutely no problem. My guild is simply series-based, but some people have let slip a few offensive Edward Cullen jokes. Fortunately, most of the members hate Twilight, and some of the members are even in this guild, too. On the forum site where I mod, I moderate the music, movies, and television section. When someone asked if people thought New Moon would be better or not than the first movie, I politely said that I thought that Twilight was sexist, but mainly focused on how Bella throwing herself off a cliff set a bad example in a civilized way. Seeing as most people who had already replied liked the movie a lot, I finished up with a "However, I have nothing against those who like Twilight, just the franchise itself". Someone who didn't even read the books replied later, saying that she didn't understand how anyone could ever hate it because it was a fairly good movie. I did not ban her or move her post or anything.
When you're the one in power but not on the very top of things (you still have to deal with Gaia TOS), the best thing to do if someone disagrees is to do nothing. Let them have their opinion, leave it be. If they continue to criticize your opinion, ignore it. If they criticize it again, call someone of higher power than you and trust me, they'll take it back fast.

I have, in fact, never been criticized. But you know how some people hold back and kkeep their anger silent...
I might just be paranoid. It just... seems strange that nobody has brought it up. Who knows? They might be passive-aggressive about it... but I have no idea.
It's just one of those things, you know?

It's not your fault if they can't respect your opinion. They're the ones being hypocritical, and if anyone causes you any major grief, since you are the guild own, bring the ban hammer down. Not saying abusing power, just saying, as the top power in the guild, if they are harassing and hounding you becasue you hate Twilight, then you have every right to boot them. If they are harassing another member-not in power- in the guild, then that member could complain to you or one of the mods.

@ xXxSwEeT_ReVeNg3xXx, my sig changes automatically. sweatdrop I make so many things for it I can't put them all there. If you're looking at Deadward Cullen, I didn't find it; I made it. The larger version is on my profile and I can give you the code if you want.
Oh! Edit: if it's the one that says "Yummy!" I also have that one at my disposal.

If they bash you for it, then they're not being very open-minded...
