Rent is the smex ^^. We did " Seasons of Love" for choir last year ^^ . Rent is like choral legend! If someone can be in choir and not know about rent then they live a very sheltered life.

I think unfortunately RENT (especially Seasons of Love) has become like most good music - that is, it's jumped upon by choral music directors all over the country because their kids want to sing it/they love the music/they want to spice up their music library, and so everybody ends up singing it and getting tired of it a few years in.
sweatdrop Although I get the feeling I'm in the minority on this. I'm not bashing RENT, just saying that some of it's songs are waaaaay overdone. The horse is dead, people! I repeat, the horse is dead!

It has been attacked by choirs jumping on it like locust, but I almost see nothing wrong with that in the grand scheme of things; it's a compliment to the piece over all when it's proformed and proformed well.
