The weather she describes is more like British Columbia (A Canadian Province for those who don't know) and even here it doesn't rain EVERY day. It's called y'know a climate.

Well... it just takes a week of rain before we start complaining that we never see the sun. But it does rain a lot... and I'm pretty sure it's because of the mountains. User Image
