aleot Emperor Angelo XXV May I expound on these 10 things about Edward Cullen so as to enhance our argument against him? Yeah, sure, just remember to post your modifications. I won't copy, I promise. It's just that I, myself, as an anti and as a writer, need all the arguments she can get. biggrin
Thanks! Here's how I expound 1-10:
1. Jealousy is one of the big taboos in a relationship This applies to both dudes, and dudettes. Even though it's not the case, it's never a good idea to be jealous in a relationship. It's because it implies that you don't trust other people! The solution to this dilemma is to learn to trust. Basically, Edward Cullen doesn't really know to trust. Never follow his example!
2. Being a control freak is detrimental to any relationship This denotes again, that the person doesn't know how to trust. But, it's more than that. He treats Bella more of as a pet, rather than a human being. True, she's clumsy, but being a control freak only makes things worse. What she really needs is to quit from being a Mary Sue. Besides, controlling another person is never the best course of action! Having confidence in another's capabilities is the cure for this situation. Never follow the wrong example by Edward Cullen and Bella Swan!
3. Being right all the time doesn't make you a better person Putting people down so you go up is never the right course of action. That just proves further that you are weak, not strong!!
4. Manipulating another person's life doesn't make you human Even if you use the whole "I'm protecting him/her" excuse, it's never justifiable! Never rob another person of his/her free will!
5. Mood swings might be a sign of unstability Even though I'm a bit prone to this, I'm not like Edward Cullen that uses mood swongs as an excuse to be abusive! Being prone to mood swings is one thing, but using it as justification to abuse is another!
6. Mean what you say, and what you act By that, I mean what you say must match how you act. Otherwise, you're some hypocrite like Edward Cullen!!
7. Punishment + relationship = bad idea Seriously, I cannot emphasize this enough. If someone has done wrong in the relationship, the proper course of action should be talking about what had taken place with an objective and open mind. A proper sense of understanding is key.
8. Know what is wrong with you, then take action Acknowledging your faults is the first step. It's also the most difficult. But once you've done that, further steps will come naturally.
9. Women deserve respect as much as men Seriously, this is another thing I can't stress enough! There are people who really doesn't deserve respect, but they are only a small part of the population! The majority deserves respect, and therefore must be done!
10. Being abusive is stupid Suppose one has a history of abuse, The proper course of action is for him/her to acknowledge his/her problems, then seek help.
