I am just looking for opinions of the game. Is it worth the money?

Well, it all depends on what you expect. Save the Homeland is sorta different in terms of Harvest Moon, because it's mostly about saving the land where the town you are living in from being sold to be an amusement park. You don't get married, but you do have to make friends with the villagers in order to get an "ending" which you need to win the game. Endings are baisicaly your solutions to saving the town, whether it be by finding an endangered animal, or helping a villager win a competition. You do farm, but you can't plant too much, or you'll never finish your ending, so be careful of that. It's actually more of a strategy game, and timing plays a lot in it, for example, if you get an ending in Winter, you're practically screwed, because you don't have enough time for the events to play out. And some endings like the butterfly one, can only work from spring to fall, and certain cutscenes only happen on certain days.
It was the first Harvest Moon game that I've ever played, and I like it alot, so I recommend it.

I wouldn't get it. I got mine last year and I could only handle playing for about a month. Sadly, if you don't complete an ending your save file becomes practically useless. Not to mention you can't (God forbid) get married. T-T

Well, depending on what ending you get, you could get a kiss at the end of it.

All of these are good points. It is very stragegic, I enjoyed it though. I sold it after about 3 months. I got most of the endings, and I became bored with it. Wonderful music score, though. Especially Fall, ahh.
