I'm taking a subject called organisations, ethics and society this semester

	Even though I would classify myself as left leaning, and I do read the papers, I'm not really that well informed and kinda lazy - it's hard to make myself to go out of my way to find out about or do anything for a cause
	It's good because it kinda forces me to become informed, through discussion but also because we have an assignment coming up where we have to join an 'activist' organisation that is for a CSR cause and then also interview business about it, etc
	Watch me complain about that one in a few weeks time, though! xD
	The whole subject takes a very business perspective, focusing around whether businesses have a responsibility to behave in an ethical/CSR way
	It's actually provoking me to think about the way I justify my career and own views to myself, and he also compares American and European views on CSR and it's kinda cool because I can see it sometimes when I talk to Americans on Gaia about politics
	I hope I continue to enjoy it... at the moment it's a bit of a novelty I suppose

Sounds good, as long as they don't give you a list of organizations that you have to choose from.

That sounds like an interesting course. Issues of how we should do things and why always interest me.

i mean it.

you are becoming this big time financial person while i remain a child care worker; you will soon forget me.

Corporate Social Responsibility. It's such a buzzword/phrase. eek

Nope, we have complete freedom. Which is actually a bit daunting - I have no idea which issue I'd even be interested in covering. My tutor said he did Maccas back when they were first coming out with their healthy choice menus and he actually met with a really high up person who was implementing it. >.>

rofl heart Don't worry chessie! I'm definitely not becoming more organised. You should see the state of my room - my Mum is horrified because I used to be the tidy/organised one and my sister was always a mess, but now it's the other way around. sweatdrop

Also, I'll never be a financial person. I really hate finance. mad Stock markets and all that crap don't interest me whatsoever. They're actually somewhat scary, truthfully. I'm so risk averse. gonk I know I'll have a lot less time to be on Gaia next year when I start working, but there's always weekends and stuff. No point worrying about it now. ^.^
