So the new rules and warning system have been out for some time. Originally it was devised to keep mods in check and prevent any sort of bias, intentional or not, in warning or banning. We asked before what you all thought of the system and if you had any suggestions. That was then.

Now we want to do the same thing. We'd like to know what you guys think of the system now that it's been in practice for a while, and we want you to give it to us straight. Do you think anything should be changed/tweaked/overhauled? Do you think there are rules we missed or rules we shouldn't have? Is the system too lax or too strict? Let us know. You can post here or if you feel more comfortable, you can PM me or another mod. We promise whatever you have to say about the warning system or the rules will not be taken badly. As long as you keep discussion civil we want to hear it all.

Well seeing the empty FAQ post, some questions should be added!

I would also like to point out that you should add in:
"No namedropping."
"If there is a problem in the guild, take it to a guild moderator."
"Anything you say about the guild in the main forums is a reflection of the guild itself."


Both of those have become issues in another guild I am in, and those guidelines were not followed. To make a long story short, an Omnimod (I think it was an Omni) nearly deleted the entire guild.

Most people don't know it's against the ToS to namedrop, especially when it's done in a rant, or can, without meaning to, make the person look bad. Namedropping multiple times is a bannable offense, but not that many people realize that it's part of the ToS.

If you don't know what namedropping is, it's basically this:

Instead of saying "So and so did this, rant rant rant", one should say, "Somebody today made me SO mad, rant rant rant."

I'm not saying someone in here WILL do that, but from experience, it needs to be in the rules or the Captain, or Vice Captain, will be held responsible for it not being there.

As for the main forums thing, that's another long story. Basically, if you want to say something in the name of the guild (in this case, APG), then it should only be something positive.

For the report to guild mods, that's pretty self explanatory.

The detail put into the warning system is impressive (to me anyway), and, so long as the length of time set forth there is kept track of (not that some/most of us would probably know whenever someone might be warned) accurately and the rest of crew knows what happened and all, then I personally don't really see a problem with it.
