One of my favorite myths: Herakles and the Twelve Tasks.

Also better known as Hercules. However, don't think of the Disney Hercules, where he's a big and brave hero. He went mad thanks to the Goddess Hera and killed his children. The Gods punished him by giving him Twelve Tasks.

Quote from Wikipedia:

Quote:
1.To kill the Nemean lion.
2.To destroy the Lernaean Hydra.
3.To capture the Ceryneian Hind.
4.To capture the Erymanthian Boar.
5.To clean the Augean Stables.
6.To kill the Stymphalian Birds.
7.To capture the Cretan Bull.
8.To round up the Mares of Diomedes.
9.To steal the Girdle of Hippolyte.
10.To herd the Cattle of Geryon.
11.To fetch the Apples of Hesperides.
12.To capture Cerberus.

When he completed the tasks he was cleansed of his sin and granted immortality.

I figured all these tasks can be made into EI items. As for the animals, some of them need some visual help, the others are pretty much as said, and you can ignore the pretty name in front.

I don't know why, but this Hydra looks pretty cute. xD

5.
Quote:
In Greek mythology, the Stymphalian birds were man-eating birds with wings of brass and sharp metallic feathers they could launch at their victims.

8. Horses, apparantly.

9.
Quote:
In Greek mythology, Hippolyta or Hippolyte is the Amazonian queen who possessed a magical girdle (belt) she was given by her father Ares, the god of war.

Some armor can be fancied here.

10.
Quote:
In Greek mythology, Geryon was a fearsome giant who dwelt on the island Erytheia.

11.
Quote:
In Greek mythology, the Hesperides are nymphs who tend a blissful garden in a far western corner of the world.

In some stories these were golden apples. So perhaps golden apples hanging from silver trees in the background, and holding a golden apple pose?

I realize we already have a baby Cerberus, but a big creepy a** one would be awesome.

Being the Norse freak here, it is necessary for me to suggest a Norse myth. Namely, I think the Treasures of the Gods would provide a lot of material. Possible poses for the EI are n parantheses and colored gray.

The legend starts with Loki, a god described as being as handsome as he was mischievious (if my idea of there being companions in each evo worked, a Loki companion would be a must..like I said, he is described as being only handsome and mischeivious, so a hot looking guy with a smirk is good, and allows breathing room for the artist designing him). One night he gets bored and cuts off the hair of a goddess named Sif. Sif's husband is Thor, who is unhappy, so Loki offers to get Sif new hair to make up for it.

Loki then heads underground to the land of the dwarves (this could provide a cool background). He then talks two of them into making him some goodies. They make him

1. A cap which will cause Sif's hair to regrow as real, pure gold (a golden hair wig?)
2. A spear which will always point at the winning side in a battle (a spear, dur)
3. And a special ship that can be folded small enough to fit in your pocket, but unfolded is a battleship that will fly over land and sea (a golden ship, either for you to stand in or in the background, and/or the folded up version, which will be just a little gold boat thing)

After getting these, Loki goes and makes a bet with another pair of dwarves that they can't make treasures better-if they can, he'll let them cut off his head. They proceed to make

1. A live boar that is made of real gold and can fly (a golden piglet...with a flying pose!)
2. A special golden ring that will make eight copies of itself every nine nights and thus constantly keep the owner wealthy (a gold ring being held, nine rings around your feet, and/or a large pile of gold rings behind you)
3. And the most famous of the treasures: Mjollnir, a brilliant golden hammer that never missed it's target andf would return to the weilder's hand if thrown (a golden hammer, of course! Better than the Gift of the God's version)

These prizes are judged as better than the other three, but Loki weasels out of the price: they have to cut his neck to get his head, and Loki didn't bet any part of his neck. Angry, one of the dwarves tackles Loki and sewns his mouth shut (if a Loki companion is in these evos, it would include sewn mouth Loki and open mouth Loki, and have the sewn-shut mouth for your avatar).

After ripping out the thread, Loki heads home, hands out the treasures, and all is well again.
