Hmm, so how often do you write in yours?
I'm curious because it seems like it would be awesome if they would allow CSS on there as well. But I'm thinking that not enough people are interested in the feature. At least, it seems pretty neglected to me.
I love my journal. In fact, it's the reason I started to donate. I wouldn't want it to go down the path of the hangouts xp

I tend to neglect mine for long periods of time sweatdrop I've been trying to keep it more up-to-date lately though. I've wished so many times that we could use CSS in the journals, because I keep changing the colour scheme and bits don't match.

There was talk of extended journals before profiles were ever mentioned.
You were going to have to pay to upgrade your journal.
This way, once upgraded, you would have a generator to build a spiffy journal.
Now that CSS is involved,
I can see them allowing us to use it instead,
as it is much more customizable this way and
less coding involved on the admin side.

I mean, the whole Profile coding has gone over so well that they've had to make a new forum. Just imagine how much more useful the whole CSS customization would be for something as personal as the journals... I, like Chisa, want more customization options, definitely 3nodding

Extended journals would have been great, if they went about it the right way. I guess since the profiles have become customisable, they'll wait a while if they still intend to go ahead with the plan. I just hope they don't go overboard with this "extended" idea. :/

They MUST go overboard, everything should be extended. EVERYTHING! *maniacal laughter*
*coughcough* ahem..
There's not really that much else they can make "extended" because everything's more functional then the profiles, I think you can do a little changing of your journal (like the header) but not to the same extent

I wouldn't want too many customizations, but I look at my journal as something pretty personal, ya know? I think the really personal stuff, like our clothes should be at least decently customizable.
and gcn...I know exactly what you mean! I always have tons of things that I want to write in my journal, but when I get to the typing screen...they leak out of my head. sweatdrop

Crystal Espers I rarely update my journal since no one will read it if I did anyway. Aww...no one reads mine, either. But, then again, I think journals are for the writers as opposed to the readers. wink
|
