This thread is very informing.
After I greaduate, I want to save up enough money to go to South Korea. I especially want to see JeJu Island~
I've been talking to my parents about this, and my mom does not want me to go. She's heard that there have been a lot of people simply disappearing over there, and she's very skeptical of N. Korea. So I would like to know if it's really all that bad, or what?

Oh yes JeJu Is. is gorgeous! Highly recommend visiting South Korea =]
But your mom is right. It can be very dangerous. There are some BadBadBAD taxi drivers, kind-looking grandmas, convenient store owners, etc who will try to sell you. Even the Koreans get caught while trying to be friendly and nice. My friend fell asleep in a taxi and woke up in a container in Pusan - he took the taxi in Seoul..but he's okay now sweatdrop
Find a trustworthy guide or friend. This will probably solve every problem. Most Koreans welcome foreigners! Don't be scare I think I ruined Korean fantasy emo
