If they have a drumkit at your school and you can afford to buy a drumkit for your home, play the drumkit coz all you'll need to take forth and back are you sticks

Play the bassoon.
And seriously, don't be too worried about the size. When I was in high school I had no problem taking my bassoon on the bus when I did.
Or if not that, go for the saxophone. Or even the oboe.
Yes, those are my favorite instruments. XD

Dude go with the alto Saxophone. It isn't too big i mean i take mine on the bus all the time. Plus it's obviously the coolest instraument in the band.

not too big....great instrument to start on and it has a nice feel to it ^_^ give it a shot...you won't regret smile
