i told my mom about my plans to participate and this was her reaction:
mom: what! stop! you'll get in trouble.
me: i really don't care i'm doing it for all the little babies that were never born because of selfish people. they deserve this.
mom: do you want to rip off your mouth with duct tape? look at caylee anthony, she was dead for 3 months and the duct tape was still attached to her skull.
me: i don't care, mom. i'm going to do it.
mom: no your not!
she makes me so upset.
i really don't care what she says.
i'm doing it.
and i showed her a tote bag i wanted that said "abortion is murder."
and she just sighed, like i was doing something horribly wrong.
i don't get her. i don't think she's pro-choice but she's makeing me wonder.

Her reaction doesn't mean she's Pro-Choice. But I don't like wearing Pro-Life clothes or gear myself, because it broadcasts me as Pro-Life and makes me a target for Pro-Choicers. I am Pro-Life, and I'll let people know if they ask or if the issue comes up, but I don't need them to single me out when I'm standing in line at the grocery store.
I'm sure she's just concerned about similar things.

If your mom is pro-choice, she would've said something like, "It's not selfishness, it's choice!" or would've gone on some long pro-choice speech about the constitutional right to abort or something like that. Heck, if she is pro-choice, she wouldn't let you be on this guild.
This is gonna sound cliche, but I think your mom really cares about you and loves you, but she overeacted. My mom is really pro-life, but she would never let me protest outside an abortion clinic because she knows there are radical choicenuts who would be more than happy to harm a group of innocent pro-life protestors. I'm not talking about the average pro-choicers. I'm talking about the militant choicenuts who would do something drastic to make a point.
Anyway, I'm sure your mom loves you and doesn't want you to get hurt by some psycho. Try talking with her and ask her why she reacted the wat she did. And do it calmly. You lose your temper, you lose the argument.
