Patroness Personally what I mind the most is when people take the Lord's name in vain, though cursing on any level isn't good. Agreed. Though I tend to do both sometimes. Peer pressure sucks, but it seems to work. D=

People at my school take the Lord's name in vein all the time, and it cuts through me like a knife. I get a sharp pain in my ears every time I hear Jesus Christ used to express disgust. It angers me slightly as well... Must be that righteous indignation.

I get that every time, as well. I cringe inside.
I'm adamant against swearing. I will never do so in my life. When I was way more naive, I believed that typing a word wasn't the same as saying it. I'm not proud of that sweatdrop . I do use euphemisms (words that replace another. Such as friggin, dang, crap, gosh, &c.). I do not use them for the purpose of substituting profanities. I instead use them as their own words and for their own emphasis. There is a point that you get to where they are not substitutions. I kinda "mental cleanliness." If you use words like that for the sole purpose of replacing the dirty counterparts, then it is still sin. You still mean the others. It's what in your heart that counts.
