This is a simple poem. It will be turned in for a school assignment, but the basis for this work I had been working on for long prior. I do not claim to be any skilled at poetry whatsoever; in fact, I consider them to be sub-par.Staring Down
Staring down, down below,
I see you, walking alone.
The gray skies reflecting
your soul.
Every day, the same routine,
the wind a-blowing, the sky storming.
And most of all, I can tell
you're lonely.
Then it pours, instead of frown,
you glance up, glad for the sound.
And treat each raindrop like a kiss
from a cloud.
Staring down, down below,
I see you, and you're not alone.
Because you have me with you
to walk this road.
