It's about the time of year that drum corps finish recruiting for next season. 8D
Has anyone been accepted into one?
I e-mailed Memphis sound one time, because I wanted to audition, but it was like, too much for me, so I told them I couldn't audition.
But they've e-mailed me with newsletters for the Corps, and announcements, like "We need one of this instrument and two of this."
I'm 14, and a freshman. They haven't even heard me play, but they want me. (Because they've said they want a lead baritone.)

never been in one but a sousaphone player and 2 guard girls from my school were in The Academy this year which is the drum corps from Tempe Arizona. Its really expensive! My section leader from last year does guard with the corps and I went to one of their shows last night but she didn't march because she had only payed 500 out of the 2000 dollars that she had to pay. So, and Im not saying your not good or anything cuz ive never heard you play, if you're not really confident that you can get a scholarship and you cant pay them $2000 up front, maybe the corps isnt your best bet. At least this year. Most people I know dont really get in until their junior year. But if your gonna do it this year, good luck! (that wasnt sarcasm. I meant it!) smile
