The Last AirbenderI saw it on Youtube, and from the 1:41 seconds, it looks alright, martial arts good, special effects decent, but I'm still having issues with the casting, although I don't know what Aang is doing in an air temple, I get the feeling that they might not start the movie from the beginning, I just hope they don't screw it up like DBZ, and well I just wanted to tell everyone.

I think it'll be done very well. No, not everything will match but so far I love the interpretations they've made. Like Aang's arrow: It would've looked ridiculous to actually paint a blue arrow on his head and the tattoo idea looks pretty damn cool. I love almost every single M. Night movie and I am anticipating what he does with Avatar.

I chose the "ecstatic" one in the poll but I'm excited and looking forward to it, but not ecstatic. XD;; I would have preferred if they cast Asians, but appearance is not that big of a deal for me. It looks GREAT and I can't wait to see it! The movie version probably will not be as good as the anime, but it can still be AN AWESOME MOVIE!!

I'm okay with Aang and Zuko being caucasian. The art style used in the show doesn't really define them racially and the Aang they used actually looks like some of the monks I've seen on TV that I think the Airbenders are based on. The only real issue I have is that the Waterbenders are all brown and it's a complete atrocity that their actors are not.
It's too bad their voice actors couldn't do live action acting, it's going to be so weird hearing them with different voices. XB

I really enjoyed the trailer; this movie looks like it has the potential to be excellent.
I agree with the casting complaints - it would be nice having Inuits play the waterbenders since that's obviously what they're based on, but oh well. Can't have everything. As long as the story is done justice, I'll be happy. biggrin

I know i'll say this 8848475985 times, but when you look at the north pole there are lots of variations of skin tone. Yes, Sokka and Katara are darker, but honestly? Who cares anymore.
As for the VA's playing them.....That would still make Sokka and Katara white xDDDDD

Yesterday I went with my friend (who also loves Avatar) to see G.I. Joe, and the trailer came on! We were both so excited, and I was glad it's finally made it into the previews. Too bad the date wasn't specified.
