I've read all of the books, and I am well versed in the pathetic waste of trees that they call 'Twilight'.

As to that, Emperor, I really don't know. But if it happened irl, then it could happen in a fiction novel.
Also, the story was told to the author by the granddaughter of the woman's friend. Chances are it hadn't been stretched around.
