Though I'd prefer the stick be used for this, this could be interesting. Let's see how this develops. I'll even throw out a test question to get this started:

Are there any other ways か can be used outside of question sentences?

yes there is actually, i just bought a book on japanese particles for 22 bucks at borders. um, lemme see... theres:

*kai
*kana
*kara
*karashite
*kashira
*ke
*keredemo(kedo)
*kiri
*koso
*koto

I would go through them all, but that would take forever. theres like 5 examples for each particle.

wait....!!! ignore the particles that don't have "ka" in it. I got carried away and listed all the particles that started with the letter k.

it's still somewhat like a question but it's the only thing that came to mind.
it can be used as an "or", like in "this or that"!

example:

キュウリかヒマワリ？
kyuuri ka himawari?
cucumber or sunflowers?

...but this next one isn't really a question, right?

彼女は「寿司かステーキかどちを頼む」と悩みました。
kanojo wa "sushi ka hanbaagaa ka dochi wo tanomu" to nayamimashita.
she worried about wether to order sushi or steak.

see? xd surely not a question, right?

(I'm not 100% on the grammar on the last one..)

彼女は「寿司かステーキか、どっちを頼むか」と悩みました。
Kanojyo wa "Sushi ka Sute-ki ka, docchi wo tanomuka" to nayamimashita.
She wondered wether to order Sushi or Steak.
