In Soul Bossa Nova which we're playing in concert band I have something like 16 bars to do either an improvised solo or just play the written one. There's nothing wrong with the solo...its the fact that the conductor keeps changing his mind about whether he wants an improv or the written! Urgh!
Though currently, I am enjoying playing Grohndals trombone concerto! Its a bit harder but more fun!

i've had a few bass clarinet solos they have all been pretty awesome haha

i once had a solo and im a really shy person (i didnt want it) and in the last practice before the preformance we had to show wot we had done in frount of theyounger children (120 ppl) i got so neverous i forgot my lines. i did fine in the real thing tho luckly

I did technically three solos for this one song in jazz band called Misty. It's a pretty song so I had to be pretty and do some vibrato. I was a bit nervous but I did good. Lots of people were telling me I did a good job.
