I don't know what level you are, but if you're leveling, stick with Feral until 40. Take the talents that up your AP and agility, rather than the defensive talents. At 40 you can spec Balance if you've got a good caster set thrown together, but generally you won't want to level as a healer. The talents look nice, but aren't really helpful for killing stuff. And that's what you're mostly going to be doing as you level.

I tried leveling my druid as resto. It's a nightmare. Stick with feral or balance. Both do good dps, and it's easier to level. Personally, I like balance the most, but I'm lking some of the stuff they did to feral, so I've been trying it out. If you do want to heal, though, try saving up the 1k gold and just get resto as a secondary tree when you hit whatever level req. it is to get dual-spec.

That's my advice. dramallama

Ultimately it boils down to what you want to do with the character. are you going to PvP? Raid? both? do you want to heal? tank? dps?

For leveling feral will be your better choice, once you hit 80 that's when you'll need to ask yourself what your goal is for that character.

balance from 1-20(may have issues with mana but its the fastest), 20-40 feral, 40(50)-70 balance, and then its really up to you from there on

i say stick with what yuo are on till you hit lvl 40 then yuo can just ddo that duel spec thing and have them both when needed.

i know people are saying don't level resto, but with the new cross-server lfg, i say go for it. as a healer you can do lots of dugeons really fast with a good group. however, if you want to level a more traditional way, go balance or feral.

stck with feral till 40 duel spec to healer, most common way to do it. that way if you have a steady supply of gold you can fill ether spot in a dungeon.

It just depends on what you want to do. I'm going to assume you're 80 or close to it, but in case you're not listen to those above me.

If you're 80 and you want to DPS, go down into Feral and be a kitty. Gem and stack for Armor Penetration and you should be good to go. Moonkin DPS isn't what it used to be--anymore it's about meleeing the crap out of everything.

Healing isn't hard, This is my Resto druid with a 14/0/57 Resto build. Only save your Healing Touch for use with Nature's Swiftness, gem for spellpower and spirit (I'm a bad druid and put an int gem as a placeholder to keep my meta), and gear for haste.

I don't know the Feral tank spec or the moonkin spec, but they're both boring and not that good from what I understand. Any other class can do those roles better than a druid can razz
