Blast it all, I have a wonderful little cold/flu thing happening (not the-zomg-swineflu!!!11oneone stare ). I spent the night hacking up a lung, lol.
Anyone have some good cold/flu remedies? I can't take too many more nights on my back because it's seriously sore today (protruding disc into pelvic nerve clusters = owie-blah-blah) and I can't take a lot of cold and flu stuff because they don't mix well with the anti-inflammatories we finally found.
So...halp? crying

lots and lots of water, even if you're not thirsty
use listerine breathmint ball things, they're small gel balls... they open your nose so well @_@
use heating pad on back? do something easy on yourself, but fun to pass the time as being sick.... easier to get it over with if you're moderately happy.

Get her to make it for you. You can find recipes online and usually leek and onion soups are pretty simple.
My mum used to make this tea from...tea, onions, garlic, lemon and honey. It was the most horrible drink you can imagine but it did often help quite a lot.....

I'm finally feeling better. But I had to crack up this week. not only is Australia leading the world in swine flu cases, but my state has the highest rate in the country.
I can't help but feel a little proud, especially as Aussies, as a whole, have gone, "eh, whatever." xd We aren't even quarntining people or closing schools anymore, lol. Ah, see, you can't kill us that easily world, mwahaha!
