♥Entry♥ The small glowing orb floated through the air trilling in a high sing song tone as it moved. It wasn't much to look at being rather small in size and giving off a rather faint glow of teal green from it's center. The orb stopped in mid air and started to fall towards the rocky ground below. The orb stopped trilling and started shrieked in horror as it's flight was broken and it hurtled towards the sharp pointy rocks below. It managed to throw it's self off of the course it was headed at the last moment and land instead among soft springy moss a few inches away from the rocks. With a relieved sigh the orb shook itself back and forth until it dislodged itself from the moss and started rolling down the bumpy forest ground. This would not do, not at all. The orb didn't want to have to roll to get places..it wanted to float. Floating was a lot more fun. Not to mention much safer for it.

♥Entry♥ The small orb continued rolling and bobbing around the forest floor, not sure where to go but she wasn't going to give up her journey before she found a human companion. She had been thrilled, and excited when the Goblin King had released her into the human world only a few days before. So far she the only living things she had come across were animals and they had been rather too curious and pesky for her taste. If she were going to have a companion she was going to be choosy about it and pick the right one. Of course..that might take longer than she had thought.
All of a sudden the orb came to an abrupt halt and trilled in delight. A rather small hut stood off in the distance and there was smoke coming out of it's chimmny! With another happy sound, the orb rolled, and then bounced this way and that until it came to a stop gazed up at the door of the cabin. Now how was it supposed to get up there?

♥Entry♥ Min sat inside the small farm house that she shared with her Grandparents, nursing a baby goat with a bottle of warmed up milk. She was a sight to see, her hair was dirty, stringy and completely a mess falling down into her eyes. In one corner of her hut, there lay the mother of the baby goat, nursing one of the three kids she had given birth to only a few short hours earlier. Min huffed, blowing the hair out of her face and steadied her hand as the goat she was feeding tugged at it voraciously. At least it was strong, and didn't seem to have a problem getting food. That was something to be thankful about.
Once the kid had been fed enough, Min settled the baby back in the small pen where its siblings and mother were now resting sleepily. She grinned down at the small family and then sighed. Now to get to feeding the rest of the animals that she kept on her small farm. She still had the old horse, a few geese, the chickens, and the dog left to feed and see to. Thankfully, once she was done with that she would be able to take a short rest and read some more of her library books.
She pulled her boots on over her stocking feet, grabbed her straw hat and a bucket from the shelf and headed out the front door. She paused and blinked in surprised when she caught sight of a small crystal orb laying at the bottom of her steps. She came down the stairs, bent down and picked it up and looked it over closely.
"Now where did you come from?" She asked, more of herself than of the orb.
She was rather shocked when the orb hummed a happy response and grew warm to the touch. It was a miracle that she didn't drop it, instead she shoved it into the pocket of her overalls and tried to reason to why she was starting to see and hear things out of the ordinary.

♥Entry♥ The orb squealed in dismay when it was suddenly thrust inside the pocket into instant darkness. It sighed, and settled in, knowing that there wasn't any way it was going to get free on its own. It couldn't help but hope that the young girl would release it from its denim prison before too long.
* * * * * *
Min went about her chores, not really thinking too much about the small orb tucked away in her pocket. Nigel, the old horse whickered happily when he saw her approach the small barn. Min smiled, and patted his nose while she slide her other hand in to dump a bucket of feed into his trough. She'd have to bring him an apple later on, a small treat wasn't too much to part with when it came to the old retired roan horse.
She walked inside the barn to where the feed was kept, dipped her bucket again into the bird feed that both the geese and the chickens shared. She made her way over to the chicken pen first, sliding the door closed behind her before she scattered the feed on the ground outside the hen house. The chickens came running at the sound of the grains and corn hitting the ground, leaving the inside of the house empty. This made it easier to gather the eggs that had bee laid that morning.
The eggs were laid gently inside the bucket, and she made a trip into the House where she pulled out some old egg cartons which she filled with the fresh eggs and stashed inside the refrigerator. This done, she washed her hands as well as the bucket before heading outside once more. She dried out the inside of the bucket with the tails of her flannel shirt and then dipped it back into the feed for the geese and made her way over to the small enclosure where the geese were kept. She did the same thing as before, scattering the feed on the ground and then gathered up the goose eggs and then made her way back inside to take care of them.
Once her task with the eggs were done, she washed up and mopped the small beads of sweat that were slowly making their way down her forehead. She glanced down at the ancient beagle who stared back up at her with a moping pleading look. She laughed, patted the dog on the head and got out his dog food for him. The dog settled down to scarf down the food that she had put out for him.
"I guess a bit of food would be a good thing for me too." She murmured, and opened the frig to take stock of what was there.
Her gaze was met with meager fare inside. She sighed, and grabbed several eggs out of one of the cartons, some cheese and a slice of bread. then she went about preparing an cheese omelet and a piece of toast for a mid morning snack. Once everything was cooked and set on the table, she sat down at the table to eat her breakfast. The feel of the small orb in her pocket made her frown, and then pull it out of her pocket.
"Just what are you? You look like you're made of crystal." She murmured fingering the small orb in her warm well worn hands.

♥Entry♥ The small orb had grown used to the warmness inside the denim pocket and was a bit startled when it was suddenly pulled out and exposed to the cool morning air again. It thrummed happily at the fingers that stroked it gently and began to light up showing off the swirls of teal and gray, to show how happy it was. ************
Minitha was startled when the crystal lighted up, but thankfully didn't drop it at the sudden light show it displayed. She stared at it in amazement several moments until the noise from the front door told her that her grandmother and grandfather were back from the doctor's office. She pushed the orb back into her pocket and moved to the front door to help her grandfather wrestle her grandmother's wheelchair up the front steps and into the house.
Her grandmother Elizabeth, known to everyone as Betty had recently gotten sick and hadn't shown any signs of getting better. It had taken Min and her grandfather several days to convince the older woman to go see a doctor about the ailment and find out what was going on. From the looks on their faces, Min knew immediately that it wasn't good news. Min hid the despair and fear that welled up inside and plastered a smile on her face as she wheeled her grandmother into the kitchen.
"I just made some eggs with cheese and a piece of toast if you'd like them Gran." Min said cheerily, kissing her grandmother on the cheek as she settled the wheelchair in front of the small kitchen table.
