Ha looked at Ro as he translated what she had said in his mind again. He was getting a bit better at it, and English wasn't too hard once he had practiced it. "I can't do fire yet. All I do is wind." He sipped is iced coffee as Ro headed into line and came back with food. His stomach growled and he groped at it with his free hand. He turned to Sylph and asked "So what do you think of her?" He wasn't quite sure what to think either, but it was nice to be with another human in a new place, especially if she was nice the way she had acted so far. Sylph avoided the question and ate some more fruit. She didn't have an opinion on this girl.
When she returned and started eating, Ha immediately stood up and headed to line. He was pumped for some bibimbap. He sped into line and ordered it, then came back as soon as it was done. He immediately stirred it up and started eating. It was really spicy and made just the way he liked it. He calmed his tongue with his coffee and closed his eyes in pleasure. This was the tastiest food he'd had in a long time.
"So what is your story?" he asked. He was interested to find out where the other people of the school had come from. He had heard that there were elves and angels and all sorts of different people here, and he found it interesting that the first person he met was a human. He was excited to explore the school with someone else, too.

Aurora blinked. Guys didn't usually ask her about... her. Well they did, but it was mainly about how hot she is or something, not proper conversation starters. Naturally she was taken slightly aback. She swallowed the food that was in her mouth and hesitated to open it again. "Me? Oh..." She wondered whether she should skew the truth a bit to make herself seem like a better person, since she usually didn't have proper conversations and this guy seemed nice. But since he was nice, she decided just to not go into too much detail while telling the truth. "Uhhhh... Well, like I said, I'm from Baltimore..." Ro realized that even though she was a questionable kid, she still wasn't very interesting. Ha was a summoner with a cool fairy thing. He already one upped her. "I was a pretty crazy kid who got sent to a bunch of reform schools, but they didn't keep me in line. As far as my parents are concerned, this is just another attempt to fix my behavior except this time I'm in with a bunch of other freaks." She shrugged her shoulders gracefully and took a swig of her pop. "I'm sure you wanted some fascinating tale of magic and wizards and far away lands but I'm just a boring rotten kid from America."
Ro felt a pang of disappointment in herself after saying all that, even though she'd left out specific details. She didn't usually think about her behavior and just kind of lived in the moment. She gulped back her feelings and twirled more pasta onto her fork. "So you were saying before that you control wind right?" As she took control of the conversation, her smirk returned to her face, no longer taken off guard. Her regular mannerisms were appearing again. She chewed the pasta and rested her chin on the back of her hand. "That's so..." She glanced up, "Soothing." A nod to confirm she found the right word. She continued to speak, now in a more wispy voice, but still with a seductive undertone to it. "I'm envious that you can control anything other than fire... Fire's so wild and destructive." How reflective, she thought with a hint of contempt. She had tried to change the subject with asking about his ability, but she ended up coming back to her inner conflict of the now. Apparently even though she recovered physically, she was having a bit of a fit in her head over realizing she wasn't proud of her actions. It'd pass shortly though, as these things often did. Ro decided to try to get off the topic further. She lifted her head and began cutting up the chicken she had yet to touch. "And you? What about your story?"

Ha slowly nodded his head as the English was broken apart in his head. He could understand a little better now, since she was speaking slowly, but the English itself was a lot harder than the Korean he grew up with. "I'm from Korea. My sister was sick and there was no way to help her, so Sylph helped me. Now I need to find the other 7 elemental spirits and I'll fulfill my contract and become a Master Summoner" he said. He was surprised he knew the jargon for his new trade, but the words just came to him. That last sentence had barely any accent. It was like being a summoner had changed him. He took another swig of his iced coffee and glanced at his bibimbap. The steam burned his nose with the taste of curry. He scooped up more of the rice and vegetable mixture and took the bite.
I don't think your story isn't interesting. I've never been to America." he nodded approvingly at the girl. Sylph was playfully sipping on the juice from her strawberries before she glanced up at the girl. So you said fire? Do you know Ifrit? Sylph was eager to get looking for more spirits, considering she hadn't made a pact with anyone in centuries. For some reason summoning wasn't very big in Korea, but she loved the country so much so she didn't feel like leaving. Last she'd heard of Ifrit he was hiding in some Egyptian tomb to torment drifters who had gotten lost in the desert. That was so like him. If you don't it's okay... but since you do know about fire you might be a help if we find him, right, Ha? Ha nodded and sipped the last bit of his iced coffee. He didn't want anymore and his cup seemed to know this. It refilled with water. His eyes beamed as he tok a sip. There was no coffee flavour in the glass at all.
"I'm very new at summoning, he admitted. He looked down slightly as though he was feeling guilty. He wasn't new in the sense of the word for most humans, but Sylph had explained to him that there were summoners who searched for centuries before becoming a master. He had only formed his pact with Sylph 9 years ago. That was pretty new, in his field. He sipped more of his water and took another bite of his food before he looked back up. "But if you can help, I'd appreciate it." He smiled at her and laughed a bit. English wasn't as hard as he had imagined.
