I'm currently in one, my friends say I'm crazy, but then again, they have also said that they have never seen me so happy before...
I like the restriction of only chatting so that you are forced to know the person before any sort of stress on the relationship (and you) to do something that you might not normally do just to keep somebody happy and with you...
so... meh...
there is my view...

Hmmm internet relationship is the same as meeting a random person in a bar only two difference is one you don't met face to face and two you don't go back to there/your place and have drunken slopy sex. That you going to regret having next morning lol But I don't mind internet dating to me it's the same like all dating really. It's always a drawback in each form of it. But its only of those few that's mature about it and know for a fact they going to meet in real life at some point. Remember relationship/love can be found in many forms. (specially nowadays)

I've been in a couple, and they've never worked out. Mainly because I've never met them in rl. I don't have the kind of money to be going all over the world trying to meet somebody. Then again, I don't have great luck with girls that I know around here. So...

Both of my serious romantic relationships were "long distance" we met on the internet. Met both of them, it just didnt' work out in the end, but then again most relationships long distance or other wise don't. You have to find the right person, who knows where that might be?
As for regular relationships, friendships, my two best friends I met on the net, met in real life now, but I'm all for meeting people via net smile .

I tired it out for a while, and almost got married twice, but it just didn't feel right to me.. I like regular dating better...

I don't think internet/long distance relationships work out half the time. Then again I'm not saying that it's impossible to be in one and have it work out.

It's risky since you don't really know who you're talking to unless you actually meet them or go on webcam.
There are a lot of risks of heart break too, like if you get too connected to a person and they just betray you, or if their internet goes off for a couple of months.
I frown upon internet relationships unless you're just friends.

Congratulations! How cute! ^w^
And baby when it's love if it's not rough it isn't fun.
